New Scrapping Goodies!

The fed ex man came early this morning bringing a box of new scrapping goodies!  YEAH!  It's always a good day when I have new stuff to play with and what made it even better was that I had time to actually use some of them today.   I was very happy new stuff arrived, since I was a little bummed out that I didn't really find a lot of things to go hunt for on Black Friday.  I usually really look forward to getting a lot of my Christmas shopping done today and I just didn't see things in the ads that my kids were asking for.  So, instead I scrapbooked.  Here's what I got done instead of shopping.  (I have another one in the works that just needs a title.  I should be able to finish it tomorrow).

I caught my daughter playing "school" with her dolls one day and snapped a few pictures of their "school room".  This new My Mind's Eye paper, Kraft Funday, worked really well with the pictures.  The line was a change of pace for me.  I usually work with brighter colors.   But, I like how it turned out!

Color Ready Cork Alphabet

I want to tell you about one of my new favorite products in the Fall/Winter Close to My Heart idea book -- the color ready cork alphabet.  These letters are so versatile.  I've used them on several layouts already and have many other projects in mind for them.  Here I used them on a layout at the playground.  There are two sheets in the package with multiple letters of each included, along with numbers.  On this layout, I ink distressed the letters a bit to give them more of a distressed look.

They also made a very cute title for this layout of my daughter making her gingerbread house.  This page also features some of the new bling brads.  My girlie loves her bling!!

The color ready cork alphabet letters are also great for boys of all ages, travel, adventure, outdoor, and school layouts.  They can be painted on or also inked.

They make a great addition to any scrapper's letter arsenal!

Happy Scrappin'

Blesssed

I'm going to try blogging again and thought I would start off with some artwork made with the November SOTM  Cherish the Day.   It's a darling set with lots of potential.  I've used it on the page here titled Blessed.  There are so many uses for this set, both for cards and scrapbook pages.  It's a great set that is only $5 with a $50 purchase, or $17.95 alone.

The January image on the cling is shown with a ticket that can be cut with CTMH's new Cricut cartridge Art Philosophy.  I am in LOVE with this cricut cartridge.  The "Blessed" page shown here features several items made with this cartridge.  The roses are cut from it, along with the scalloped paper, and also the background pieces for the SOTM image.

This pages features the new paper Dreamin' from Close to My Heart.  This paper packet is filled with the rich deep colors of autumn -- gorgeous blues, oranges, and browns.  Close to My Heart has made some changes to their paper this fall and I am in love with the new texture of the paper.  It's cardstock weight now, which I really like.  I've been enjoying working with the heavier papers.  The colors and patterns of our paper just seem even prettier now.

There is another special this month with Close to My Heart that I must tell you about too!  This one is only available until the end of November.  It's called Holiday Wishes.  This adorable stamp set is also only $5!!!  YEAH!!!  Bargain!!  The qualifying purchase consists of a $25 stamp order, which is so easy to do with all the new cute stamp sets from CTMH in the Fall/Winter idea book.

You can check out these items and any other new stamps on my website at www.amym.myctmh.com.
