My Peeps Card

I am in love with this My Peeps stamp set!!!!  So cute and fun!!!

I attended a CTMH event called Leadershare last weekend in Omaha.  We could bring with us 11 items to swap with other attendees.  I loved what I did with my club layout for March, so I continued with that them and created this adorable card.

It uses the My Peeps stamp set and the Lucy papers.  If you have fallen in love with this stamp set, like I have, you can purchase it here.  My Peeps.  And the best thing this stamp was only $9.95.  I think I've gotten my money out of it!!  I'll probably add quite a few more bunnies to my Easter layouts this year though.  They are just too cute!

The complete line of Lucy papers can be seen and purchased here.  If you are looking for cute and girlie papers, this line is for you.  The complementing rub ons have glitter on them.  Very girlie!

My Peeps

Here's my March scrapbook club page.  It uses the new cute and girly Lucy papers.  I'm loving the new pink and grey combo, along with the fun pop of green.

I've also used the new My Peeps stamp set.  It is so cute and such a bargain at $9.95!  You can find it here on my new website http://amym.ctmh.com/.  I used markers, ink pads, and the watercolor brush for the eggs.

I had these pictures laying in the top of my stack of photos and noticed that they matched my layout perfectly!  So exciting to get one completed and in the album.

Dotty for You!

I'm so excited about the National Scrapbooking Promotion that is coming up in April called Dotty for You.  So excited, that you're getting a sneak peak NOW!!!!  My new papers arrived on Tuesday and I was able to sneak in some creative time after scrapbook club that evening.  These fun colors and patterns worked perfectly with our Easter egg dying photos from last year.

I'm a sucker for stripes and polka dots anyway, so these fun papers are right up my alley!!!

And who can resist this FUN, FUN, FUN butterfly pattern!!!!

SO CUTE!!!!

Color Ready Cork Alphabet

I want to tell you about one of my new favorite products in the Fall/Winter Close to My Heart idea book -- the color ready cork alphabet.  These letters are so versatile.  I've used them on several layouts already and have many other projects in mind for them.  Here I used them on a layout at the playground.  There are two sheets in the package with multiple letters of each included, along with numbers.  On this layout, I ink distressed the letters a bit to give them more of a distressed look.

They also made a very cute title for this layout of my daughter making her gingerbread house.  This page also features some of the new bling brads.  My girlie loves her bling!!

The color ready cork alphabet letters are also great for boys of all ages, travel, adventure, outdoor, and school layouts.  They can be painted on or also inked.

They make a great addition to any scrapper's letter arsenal!

Happy Scrappin'

Blesssed

I'm going to try blogging again and thought I would start off with some artwork made with the November SOTM  Cherish the Day.   It's a darling set with lots of potential.  I've used it on the page here titled Blessed.  There are so many uses for this set, both for cards and scrapbook pages.  It's a great set that is only $5 with a $50 purchase, or $17.95 alone.

The January image on the cling is shown with a ticket that can be cut with CTMH's new Cricut cartridge Art Philosophy.  I am in LOVE with this cricut cartridge.  The "Blessed" page shown here features several items made with this cartridge.  The roses are cut from it, along with the scalloped paper, and also the background pieces for the SOTM image.

This pages features the new paper Dreamin' from Close to My Heart.  This paper packet is filled with the rich deep colors of autumn -- gorgeous blues, oranges, and browns.  Close to My Heart has made some changes to their paper this fall and I am in love with the new texture of the paper.  It's cardstock weight now, which I really like.  I've been enjoying working with the heavier papers.  The colors and patterns of our paper just seem even prettier now.

There is another special this month with Close to My Heart that I must tell you about too!  This one is only available until the end of November.  It's called Holiday Wishes.  This adorable stamp set is also only $5!!!  YEAH!!!  Bargain!!  The qualifying purchase consists of a $25 stamp order, which is so easy to do with all the new cute stamp sets from CTMH in the Fall/Winter idea book.

You can check out these items and any other new stamps on my website at www.amym.myctmh.com.

Time Flies -- It's January Club Week!

Here is my January club layout using the new Emporium paper from the Spring catalog. I love this fun paper! Now, I just need to find some pictures to put on it.

I copied my friend, TIna's layout, which made coming up with my club layout a lot easier this month. I got it done several days before the start of club! LOL!

Colorfully yours ~

Thank you Mrs. A!!!

Since April, my chidren and I have been making the trek to Lincoln (an hour and a 1/2 drive --each way!) twice a week for Samuel to meet with a trainer at LearningRX. He is very right brained and phonic programs do not make sense to him, so we sought out some additional help. It was a very intense program. He worked with her for 3 hours each week and then he and I had 3 hours of home training each week. I think my brain has been trained now also!

His trainer was wonderful. He loved working with her and she did a great job with him. She told him many times that he was her favorite and that she didn't know what she would do when it was time for him to be done with the program.

We thought we would never see the end, but the day before Thanksgiving was our last day with Barb. I am kind of sad that the end has come. We had some fun days driving there and hanging out together, yet I am glad that we will now have those 10 plus hours at home!! Maybe we can get something done around here??? LOL!

Anyway, a special person deserves a special thank you gift. I had so much fun whipping this up for her. She was such a big part of our life for the past 8 months.

I used one Close to My Heart's acrylic albums. These are so much fun to work with!! I am trying to think of who else I could make one for now.

I had a hard time parting with it. Guess I'll just have to make another one now for Samuel to remember all his hard work.

One Week from Today!!!!

We will be heading to London!!!  A week from right now, I will be on a plane, a very long plane ride that I am not looking forward too! LOL!  However, I can't wait to see all the places that we are headed.  Big Ben, the Vatican, Leaning Tower, the Colosseum.  Places I have only dreamed of going.

Olivia announced at supper last night that she can't wait to see the Leaning Tower of Pizza.  :)  I said, "Um, honey, you aren't going with us, so you won't get to see it."  She looked at me, with this exasperated look and said, "I know . . . I can't wait to see pictures of it."  The attitude is there already at age 6!!

For a split second, I thought maybe we should have taken them.  They have really taken an interest in what we are going to go see.  But I really think this trip would have been too long for her.  I guess we will just have to go again!!!

I am really looking forward to seeing my CTMH friends!!!  This will be my third cruise with CTMH and I love seeing my buddies on these trips.  It is like a big reunion!!  My friend Shannon is with me in the picture above.   She lives in Oregon and we were roomies together in Orlando at convention this summer.  I can't wait to see her again!  She and her husband Aaron are in the room right next to us on the boat, so they will be easy to find on the boat.  Can't wait to hang with them!!!!  :)

My Other Swap Artwork -- Perfect Day

For some crazy reason, I signed up for two swaps in August and spent all of Labor Day weekend creating. In the first swap set that I posted, I did the artwork for the new Notebook paper, but for this one, my chosen paper was Perfect Day. Part of the requirements of this swap were to use the featured technique shown in the catalog for your kit. My featured technique was handsewing on our stick stock twill (fun!). It took me about 4 hours to sew for these and mine still isn't done! Maybe that will be a project for the crop I am attending next weekend.

I do love this new paper.  It works for so many themes - fall, heritage, new baby, family, and I even see Christmas in it also.  The new colors that Close to My Heart added are so pretty ~ Juniper and Tulip.

Last Swap set -- Perfect Day

">Here is the final artwork set from my swap. It uses the Perfect Day papers. Wendy Coffman was the artist using this paper packet. I love the new colors from Close to My Heart that this set features -- Tulip, Juniper, and Sorbet. Those are such fun names!

There is also artwork by Lisa Stenz in this slide show. She is another favorite artist of mine.

Enjoy!!

Magic Moments -- More Swap Items!

<
Isn't it fun to see all the new papers put to use? They sure do look different made into something vs. seeing them in the catalog. I love all the great ideas I got from this swap. These are from some very talented artists. :)

This paper is called Magic Moments and Ginni Candeleria created with it. My favorite is the little card with the three candles! SO CUTE!!!

More Swap Artwork - Evensong

Here is Close to My Heart's Christmas paper Evensong. I love the new fabric tags that Adina Godin used on the page. This is more great artwork from the swap I participated in at the beginning on the month.

Also in this slide show are Evensong artwork from my friend Shannon Buck. She participated in a different swap with this paper. It is fun to see all the different takes on it. Enjoy!

My Swap Artwork -- Notebook

Here is my artwork from one of the two swaps I participated in.  In this swap, I picked the new Notebook paper to work with.  I had a lot of fun using this paper.  It is very versatile and will work with a lot of different themes -- birthday, baby, children, vintage, snow, school, etc.  I am so happy that CTMH has now made the back of the paper the same format but in a monochromatic pattern.  It makes our paper even more versatile.

I pulled out my sewing machine to use on these swap items.  Sewing adds a fun touch to your artwork and some texture.

It looks like 3 extra cards got added to this slide show.  They are by another talented artist, Jody Pyne.  She is from Canada and is a lot fun!

Swap Artwork -- Aspen

This artwork was created by Audrey Key.  Her artwork was just beautiful!!

Sept. Club Week

This was club week.  I love club week.  I get to hang out with all my friends for an entire week!!  We used the Perfect Day papers for club this month.  LOVE THIS PAPER!!  One of the reasons why it is my favorite is that I got to do the artwork for the new Fall/Winter idea book with it.  My kids and I are on page 16 of the catalog.  It is a big honor to be chosen by CTMH to do artwork.  My kids are loving that they are in the book.  If you don't have a catalog, you can see the page on my site http://www.amym.myctmh.com.  Check under Products to see the catalog.

This page features Close to My Heart's special this month -- the friendship alphabet!  I love this font.  It think it is going to be a favorite of mine.   It is only going to be available until the end of the month.
